OAKLAND CITY — Ruth Ann Dupps, 81, of Oakland City entered rest on Wednesday Jan. 13, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville.

She was born May 19, 1939, in Loogootee, Indiana to Glen and Helen (Soeder) Morgan.

Ruth graduated from St. John’s High School in Loogootee. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and had worked at Buehler’s Buy-Low and East Gibson School Corporation. She was an avid Indiana Pacer’s fan, she loved playing Bunko, was a devoted John Wayne fan, and loved her family dearly.

Survived by her husband of 59 years; Ken Dupps, a daughter Gina Dupps, sons Gavin (Kim) Dupps, Craig (Sandy) Dupps all of Oakland City and Dean (Stephanie) Dupps of Boonville, Indiana; nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren; sisters Jane(Truman) Hedrick of Martinsville, Indiana, Mona Harrison of Mooresville, Indiana, Tana (Fred) Porter of Huntingburg, Indiana and a brother Ted Morgan of Jasper, sister-in-law Sandy Morgan of Indianapolis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Jan. 18, 2021 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Renner celebrant. Burial will take place in Montgomery Cemetery. Private family visitation will be held at Lamb- Basham Memorial Chapel. Due to Covid-19 mandates from Gov. Holcomb and CDC social distancing is still observed with limitation for attendance to all visitation and services. Face masks are required by state mandate upon entering the church.
