PATOKA — Two people were transported to the hospital Friday morning after a crash on U.S. 41 South near County Road 350 North, according to an accident report released Tuesday by the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.

Regina Peachey, 44, of Calhoun, Illinois, was traveling southbound in a 2006 GM van when she hit a 1997 Chevy Van.

The Chevrolet was driven by Robert Maier, 86, of Fort Branch, who was traveling westbound on County Road 350 North, crossing US 41.

Peachey had a stop sign on CR 350 S and US 41 N, and proceeded to cross into the path of the southbound van.

Maier was transported from the scene with head pain. A passenger in the GM van, 52-year-old Leanna Yoder, was transported for leg pain.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
