Bringing awareness to men’s health

June 14-21 we celebrate National Men’s Health Week, leading up to Father’s Day on June 20.

This is a time to bring awareness to health issues that affect men and focuses on helping men to become aware of problems they may have or could develop, and gain the courage to do something about it.

The more well known the

week becomes, the more men

will feel its ok to talk about their health issues and not just push

them to the side and ignore possible

health problems.

This is a time when men who use tobacco can take that first step towards a tobacco free life.

Men and boys (starting at the age of 13) who use any form of tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, chew and e-cigarettes can call 1-800-quitnow (1-800-784-8669) to talk to a trained quit coach to get the free help to quit for good any time of the day, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And they can ask them about the free two week supply of patches or gum.

Also, Quit Now Indiana offers two services: Web Coach and Text2Quit. These user-friendly features are designed to give the support needed throughout the quitting process. Web Coach and Text2Quit will empower them to take control of their tobacco addiction and successfully quit for life. Enroll now at

It is a matter of life and breath.
