Mask up correctly!

I am pleased to see employees and customers at local stores that I enter wearing masks. Yet, I am disheartened to see some people wearing their masks incorrectly, such as below the nose.

Now that Governor Holcomb has opened our state to Stage 5, it will be even more imperative for everyone in our county and the state to be wearing a mask, social distancing, and washing hands. Yes, the mask mandate is still in effect until at least Oct. 17.

With the weather getting cooler which will result in more activities being forced indoors and with the advent of flu season, following the guidelines that will help mitigate the spread of COVID Is absolutely necessary in Gibson County as well as in Indiana and in the United States.

Wearing a mask correctly will help Gibson County get all students back in school daily, get the economy back on track, and protect the vulnerable. It would also encourage ALL residents to actively participate in their communities again.

Do your small part to mitigate the spread of COVID. Mask Up! But be sure to mask up correctly.
