Gibson Southern huddle vs. Heritage Hills

The Gibson Southern Titans boys varsity basketball team huddles during a timeout in the first quarter of their game against Heritage Hills in Lincoln City. The Titans lost 73-39 to the unbeaten Patriots.

LINCOLN CITY — Despite a monster shooting night from junior Noah Bryant, the Gibson Southern Titans (1-6) could not keep up with the unbeaten Heritage Heights Patriots (6-0) as they fell 73-39 in Lincoln City.

The Patriots front-court duo of 6-foot-9 University of Evansville signee Blake Sisley and 6-foot-5 junior Alex Schaeffer were simply too much to handle for the Titans to handle as Sisley scored 24 points and Schaffer added a career-high 14 points in the win.

Bryant was the star of the game for the Titans as he dropped 17 points in the losing effort, with 10 of those points coming in the fourth quarter.

Junior Drew Foster added seven points for the Titans, Carson Brindle added six, including Gibson Southern’s first four points of the game and sophomore Jaxun Lamb, who picked up a technical foul in the contest, finished with five.

The Titans are now 1-3 in Pocket Athletic Conference Play and will look to get back on track Saturday when they host Evansville Memorial.
