OAKLAND CITY — With high school soccer season having completed, Wood Memorial honored its top athletes from this fall soccer season.

The Trojans named senior Gramm Collins as the team’s MVP. A pair of other seniors, Luke Schenks and Jacob Elaman each received awards, Schenks’ the Mental Attitude Award, Elaman’s recognizing the Most Improved athlete.

Additional awards included junior Reese Morton as the team’s Defensive Player of the Year, junior Owen Day receiving the Coaches Award, and Kaden Newton as the team’s top Offensive Player.

The Trojans — who finished 2-9-1 — but peaked toward the end of the season, winning two of their final three contests, were coached by Josh Stolz, Zach Willis, and Axel Freudenberg.
