Gibson Southern senior linebacker Levi Dickerson announced on Twitter Wednesday that he has received an offer to play college football at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas.
"After an awesome conversation with coach Nick Davis, I have received an offer to be a part of the Ottawa football team!," Dickerson wrote on Twitter.
The senior linebacker has made 53 total tackles with 37 solo tackles through five games so far this season. He has also recorded three sacks and has recovered a fumble.
Ottawa's Football program is a member of the NAIA and plays in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Former NFL running back Derrick Ward, who ran for over 1,000 yards for the New York Giants in 2008 and won Super Bowl 42 during the 2007 season as a member of the Giants, played part of his college career at Ottawa for the Braves.
The offer marks the third for Dickerson as he also holds offers from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Missouri University of Science and Technology in St. Rolla, Missouri.
NCAA DI programs such as Columbia, Harvard, Dartmouth, Northern Illinois, Ohio and San Diego have also reached out to Dickerson, who holds a 4.0 GPA off the field.
He will look to lead the Titans to a 5-1 start Friday when they host the conference rival Heritage Hills Patriots for homecoming.
