The Princeton Community High School wrestling program has a new leader as the school announced the hiring of John Turner as head wrestling coach.

Turner is a 2002 PCHS graduate who posted a career record of 134-26, including a 30-6 mark his senior year while wrestling for the Tigers.

The PCHS alum has a background in both wrestling and mixed martial arts and formally operated the Turner Martial Arts Center that was located at 1010 Maple Street in Princeton.

Turner's first season as Tigers head coach is scheduled to begin December 1 when his team takes on Pocket Athletic conference Washington on the road. He'll make his home coaching debut at Tiger Arena on January 11 against Evansville North.
