The Gibson Southern Lady Titans golf team's 2021 season came to an end Saturday as they finished eighth out of 18 teams during the IHSAA's fifth regional at Washington's Country Oaks Golf Club.

Academic-All state senior Hillary Humbaugh shot a team-best 84 for the Lady Titans.

Senior Jessie Irvin shot a 92, junior Vanessa Schmitt shot a 96, senior ​​Kristen Spindler shot a 97 and junior Madilyn Sperling shot a 98 to give Gibson Southern a final total of 369 as a team

Evansville North earned the regional team title with a low score of 293. Castle (312) and Floyd Central (322) also punched their tickets to the state championship joining the regional champion Lady Huskies.

Gwen Anderson of Columbus North, Trinity Dubbs of South Knox, Ella Wilks of Columbus North, Harley Grant of Columbus East and Emily Gagnon of Evansville Mater Dei all punched their ticket to the state championship individually.
