FORT BRANCH -- Brenna Blume added another big hit to her already impressive résumé on Thursday evening.
The Gibson Southern talented freshman blasted a two-out, 2-run home run in the last of the fifth inning in the Lady Titans 2-0 win over Evansville Harrison.
The longball was Blume's seventh of the season as Gibson Southern won its 13th straight game and improve to 18-1 on the season.
"I was really just trying to get locked in and put a good swing on the ball," Blume said of her game-winning hit. "I definitely made some adjustments in that at-bat. I was a little too eager the first time up so I just tried to stay patient."
The home run came on a 3-2 pitch and it marked the second time this season she's hit a home run which proved to be a game-winner.
"Those moments feel crazy good, because I know that I came through for my teammates," the freshman said.
Lead-off hitter Hannah Long walked two batters prior to Blume's big hit.

Lyndsi Adamson tossed her second straight shutout in as many nights.
The Lady Titans southpaw allowed just five hits, did not walk a batter and recorded nine punchouts.
The shutout was aided by a defensive gem from center fielder Kat Dickenson.
With two outs in the top of the sixth and a runner at second base, Dickenson fielded a ground ball and fired a strike to the plate to keep the Warriors off the board.
Adamson then struckout the side in the top of the seventh to finish the shutout.
Colby Rogers finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate while Lexie Stunkel rounded out the hits for the Titans with a single in three trips to the plate.
