The Gibson Southen football team picked up their sixth win of the season Friday night while Princeton Community stumbled to its seventh loss.

The Class 3A No. 7 Titans improved to 6-2 on the season with a 37-0 blanking of Pocket Athletic Conference foe Tell City.

Both teams entered the game with 5-2 records on the season.

Brady Allen completed 16 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns in the rout.

Senior Ben Butler hauled in eight passes for 154 yards including a 53-yard score, while Mitch Spindler racked up 135 yards on the ground with a score.

Butler also came up with an interception as the Titans defense forced a pair of turnovers in the win.

At Mt. Vernon, the Tigers gave up 21 points in the second quarter as they trailed 35-0 at the half before falling 41-7.

The loss drops Princeton to 1-7 on the season and have lost five straight.

Gerit Bock accounted for the only score of the game in the loss for the Tigers as he scored on a quarterback keeper late in the fourth quarter.
