The Gibson Southern Titans boys soccer team won their ninth straight game Thursday as they shut out Pocket Athletic Conference rival Pike Central 2-0 in Petersburg.

Both Titans' goals came in the second half as Mosbah Alshwikh and Jake Romershausen each scored to give Gibson Southern the victory.

Titans senior goaltender Luke Appman recorded his seventh shutout of the season in the win.

Gibson Southern is now 13-1 overall on the year with a perfect conference record of 9-0. They'll travel to Huntingburg to take on Southridge Monday before finishing the regular season on the road Thursday at Forest Park.

Wins in both of their final two games, one win and a Heritage Hills loss or two Heritage Hills losses, would clinch the PAC title for Gibson Southern.
