OAKLAND CITY — A group of golfers enjoy the weather Thursday afternoon at the Oakland City Golf Club. Despite the number of positive cases of the coronavirus growing across the state and the country, most golf courses are still open to the public. While open, the Oakland City GC is adhering to all the new rules and regulations set by the USGA to help prevent COVID-19 which includes only one golfer per golf cart— unless they are family or live in same house — and hole cups on the greens to be raised so that the flag sticks are not touched by golfers on each hole. The staff at Oakland City also sanitize each golf cart following each players’ round. The inside of the club house is not open, but a walk-up window is open for golfers to pay and purchase food and drinks.
