EVANSVILLE -- Brendan Murphy finished as low medalist Monday evening but it was not enough to help the Gibson Southern boys golf team to a win over Pocket Athletic Conference foe Forest Park.

The Rangers finished six strokes ahead of the Titans, 176-182, at Cambridge Golf Course.

Murphy finished with a nine-hole total of five-over-par 41 to earn medalist honors by two strokes.

Devin Murphy finished four strokes behind his brother with a 45, while Adam May (47) and Cale Martin (49) rounded out the scoring for the Titans.

Brandon Beauchamp also carded a 49 for Gibson Southern.

Max Stoll and Cameron McCarthy also played and finished with a 49 and 51, respectively.

Gibson Southern hosts Evansville Central back at Cambridge on Thursday.
