HAUBSTADT — Tri-State Speedway confirmed Wednesday the venue won’t host races in May.
“We are sorry to announce there will be no races held during the month of May unless our state eases the stages set forth at this time,” owners reported in a social media post.
“The World of Outlaw Late Model race scheduled for May 30 has been postponed. We are working with Dirt Motorsports officials on a new date but with so many other states involved and restrictions changing daily, a new date may not be announced until all states are opened up.”
A tentative opening date of June 14 would feature the USAC & MSCS Sprints, but is subject to change as state officials re-evaluate the number of new Covid-19 cases, according to the post. “...but we are very hopeful that we can start racing on that date.”
Tickets are limited to presale only for the June 14 race, in order to allow the venue to operate at the state’s 50% capacity guidelines.
Details for the online tickets are forethcoming.
“Our schedule will have several changes made to it as we move forward. As soon as we can publish a revised schedule, we will do so,” owners reported.
Season ticket and season seat holders will receive notification regarding the status of their purchase.
